Store Introduction
Tokuzo sells knives from the Tosa Region of Japan. These excellent knives are made using traditional techniques passed down for more than 400 years.
Unlike knives from other regions, each Tosa knife is made by a single craftsmen, from forging to blade edging and finishing. Tokuzo craftsmen practice a free forging method that allows a broader range of forms. Compared with knifemaking in which individual processes are performed by different craftsmen, the Tosa method reduces costs. We have a wide variety of Tosa knives for home and professional use.

Japanese black finish knives from Tosa
Cooking knives with steel blades cut well and last long. Japanese cooking knives are often single-edged; however, most of our black finish knives from Tosa are double-edged. Therefore, you can use them as you do your cooking knives at home.
